Privacy protection and compliance are vital for any organization to thrive, but it can be challenging to identify and understand privacy obligations. To measure the scope of this issue, ISACA® conducted a survey in October 2019 to solicit information from respondents about the privacy practices in their enterprises. The survey report provides answers to a wide range of questions, from who is accountable for privacy in each respondent’s organization to the amount of interaction the privacy function has with other areas of the organization to how confident are people in their organization’s ability to secure sensitive data. The vast majority of respondents indicate their organizations offer privacy awareness training and employ multiple full-time privacy employees.
